I'm happy to hear from potential PHD students using quantitative/mixed methods, and working on topics in urban economics and local economic development, including: innovation systems and ecosystems; entrepreneurship; the economics of migration and diversity; ICT and digital technology firms; the creative and cultural industries, or urban policy evaluation. If this is you, please send me a CV and 2-3 page proposal. UCL PhD scholarships are competitive, and typically close end-November / mid-January each year. Please bear this in mind when timing your approach.
